Prairie Underground is pleased to present Joel Colvos for the September Georgetown Art Attack.

Colvos scours Puget Sound beaches for marine debris and discarded materials, transforming what he finds into works of art. The history and weathering of each material remain visible, revealing traces of where it came from and what it has endured.

His work gives discarded objects a new context while drawing attention to our relationship with the environment, consumption, and waste.
